Trump and shoes

Post by Paul Nuttall »

It seems something that trump has a fixation on is people's shoes, according to reports he looks at people's shoes and if he doesn't like them, assesses their shoe size and gifts them a pair made by the company of his choice.....if photos of rubio are correct, shoes size assessing is something else he thinks he is better at than he is.

I saw a Ed Davey of the UK Liberal Democrat's being interviewed by an American news talk show make the joke "at least British politicians wear shoes that fit!"...

But seriously is Trump's ego so fragile that Rubio couldn't just say "uhm they are a size too big Mr President." Either the man's temper is so foul that even such a minor criticism is forbidden or Rubio is utterly spineless. As well as brainless - why not if he is too scared go and BUY himself a pair in the right size and just wear those?

Presumably there are some wearing shoes that are too small as well....

Amusingly it seems trump's chosen shoe company is one that has been hit by import tarrifs........

Anyway News Thump had a good take on it

US President Donald Trump has gifted White House staffers and cabinet members dress shoes with extra room for bone spurs, it has been revealed.

Worth around $145, Trump gifted pairs of the shoes to cabinet members such as JD Vance and Marco Rubio, making sure to leave extra space for bone spurs, to keep up his draft-dodging charade.

“There’s a bit of extra room in the heel area,” said JD Vance, terrified to take off the shoes in case it makes his boss angry.

“They’re really nice shoes. Well, at least that’s what I told him. Marco Rubio told me he’s been sleeping in them just in case Trump finds out he’s taken them off and fires him.

“Not many people know this, but that’s actually why Kristi Noem got sacked. She took off the shoes and was immediately replaced as Secretary of Homeland Security.

“I suppose there are some benefits. The extra room for bone spurs means I can avoid the upcoming draft for the Iran war.

“The shoes also have a little compartment in the sole for my eyeliner. You know, like the kids shoes Clark’s used to sell with a little toy in the compartment.

“(Sigh) Man, I hate this job sometimes.”

I think you are pretending it's satire rather than admit that the President of the United States is actually that ridiculous. And his cabinet are so spineless they won't even tell him the shoes are too big. Actually that's not fair, it's just Rubio so far that's proven spineless.

A 30 second google search shows multiple stories about this, all by mainstream media and many of them literally quoting the president admitting he has bought them shoes and almost all of them showing pictures of Rubio in very poorly fitting shoes. Still think we're being taken in or scammed? Or willing to admit that Trump really is acting in such a weird and clownish manner?

( Happens I do not like clowns, but I *respect* them...)

Trump seems unable to laugh at himself, only sneer at those he considers lesser folk.

Fair point. And in fairness, everyone to Trump is "lesser". Even those who he praises, it's only because they agree slavishly to everything he says. The moment they deviate even slightly? Well ask Marjory Taylor Green or Mike Pence how that goes...

Yeah, News Thump is known to be a satirical site, probably should have made that clear.

Some of the other photos with other white house staff floating around look a bit strange, though they could have been modified.

The News Trump comments by vance and Rubio are OBVIOUSLY satire, I figured you meant the whole story was satire as that part was so blindly obvious. Given that you meant specifically the obvious satire then fair enough. For one thing it's so obviously satire as neither of them would DARE speak out against Trump in real life.

The basic story is however true and frankly you might thing it's blown out of proportion but I think it speaks to something a) weird in how Trump thinks and b) really screwed up that Rubio is walking around in shoes that are too big for him without being able to either politely decline said shoes as to big for him or ask for a pair that actually fits him. It really does speak in my mind to either how fragile Trump's temper is (and lets be honest that many is in command of the most powerful military in the world is so that IS a major issue) or how weak willed Rubio is in that he can't bring himself to mention they don't fit to Trump - which again give the man's role as both the Secretary of State and acting National Security Advisor is another major issue. If he's so in fear of his boss he can't even give him bad news about the fact the man gave him the wrong size of shoes that's a huge problem for America.

Given trumps previous 'Poor Little Marco' comment, I think we can tell what he thinks of him.

Probably revenge for his comments on trump previosusly, such as

For years to come, there are many people on the right... that are going to be having to explain and justify how they fell into this trap of supporting Donald Trump."

Mind you, he is not alone in having made less than complmentary comments about trump prior to accepting a post...and shoes...from him.

we will wait for the TDS degenerate lefties/libs to first explain and justify how they supported a party deliberately letting in 12+ million illegals and releasing ISIS/Iran sleeper cell "material" aid folks early on in an already light sentence... along with the rest of the pro-crime social-atomisation agenda....all part and parcel of embracing the hamasniks as well.

Otherwise its missing the woods for the trees and they have a finger they can smell  ...which probably smells lot better than their "we're big govt welfare but NIMBY" induced inner city "homeless encampments".... silicon valley needs to make "human poop" map apps after all for.

This is supposed to be the bar where it’s jokes, fun stuff, etc.

This is not the POW board which is so infested with leftist, TDS, biased “moderating, anti-American bull $h!t that I have left that portion of the board.

It is often said that liberalism destroys everything it touches.

Is that going to wreck this forum also?

This whole discussion is nonsense and nothing more than more TDS bashing over a silly @$& report being blown out of proportion by the biased TDS leftist propaganda machine.

Can we move the thread over to the POW board and/or lock the thread?

(Throws glass at the bar and walks out of the bar in disgust. Again.)

Wow... Just wow. For a group that is SO about freedom of speech there seems to be a lot less support for it when someone mocks Trump. TDS isn't real. You know how I know that? I work in mental health. It's a made up insult to try and belittle those who dare to call out Trump and his sycophants. Heaven forbid that someone makes a joke at Trump's expense here in the bar. He is buying his cabinet shoes that don't fit. That's farcical and he should be mocked for it frankly. It's ridiculous. Yet apparently it's "leftist propaganda" and "anti-American bull $h!t"

Being anti-Trump is NOT being anti-American Nightwatch2. Except perhaps in some Trump supporters minds. As for this thread spilling into politics, yeah it did. That often happens in bar talk. It's a thing that happens across the entire world. Where theres a bar, people will sometimes find the jokes and banter turning to politics. It comes with the territory. But how dare we I guess... lol

If this thread now should be moved over to the Politics forum, that would be fine by me. If it stays here, fine by me also. But locking it because someone dares to joke about Trump and his weird fetish for buying shoes for other men...? Yeah that's not discussions of politics or joking. Thats a temper tantrum because your guys done something weird and you don't like people pointing it out. You're honestly disgusted because of some joking criticism of Trump? I thought it was the left who were supposed to be snowflakes?! :D

Seems to me that you don't want a forum where people can discuss things. You want an echo chamber of your own views.

I don’t actually like Trump all that much.

TDS isn’t real? Absolutely is.

We’ve been living with (Current Republican President) Derangement Syndrome for decades.

It manifests itself as overwhelming bias towards anything the (Current Republican President) does even when it’s the exact same thing a previous dem president did. Which is the genesis of my much earlier comment about stinking hypocrisy from the left.

Examples are exaggerated stories about silly little things of no consequence embellished with fabricated quotes (see above story).

That you cite three media references from the hardcore liberal propaganda press as “mainstream” pretty much proves the point.

Yea, locking the thread is probably too much. Highlighting as the latest example of leftist hypocrisy and bigotry is probably more appropriate.

Didn’t you complain not long ago about the good will having evaporated here?

You are in mental health - staff or patient?

In keeping with the theme of this discussion; if the shoe fits…

Well, one more place turned into a leftist sewer and one less place to hang out.

As for "(Current Republican President) Derangement Syndrome" - I'm a bit young for Reagan, but I like a lot of what he did. I liked Bush Snr AND Jnr (even when that was REALLY unpopular in Scotland). I couldn't STAND Clinton (either of them if I'm honest). I was less than keen on Obama at the time, although I have to say I'm a lot more favourable to him now than I was back then. Biden I didn't particular care for and again based on working in mental health I could see CLEAR signs of his cognitive decline. So... for the Republican president's in my entire lifetime I'm 1 for 4 in disliking them intensely and I'm 0.5 for 3 of liking Democrat presidents. But clearly that's me being "biased" against republicans. Nonsense accusation, but about what I've come to expect. Clearly I'm a left wing lunatic in that I actually LIKE ever single right wing president bar trump.

And yeah I did complain about the goodwill being gone - largely due to the fact that the righter winged elements of the board throw out a lot more insults at anyone that dare's to disagree with the Supreme Leader Trump... you know ones like suggesting I'm a mental health patient when I clearly said i WORK in mental health. Like you just did. For the record, no I'm a lawyer that works with patients with mental health. Nightwing2 if you want to storm out of here in a hissy fit, be my guest. I for one won't miss the diatribes whenever someone dares to disagree with how you think this board should be run and what should be posted on it. The false accusations of moderator bias. And before you (like several of your fellows) try and accuse me of hypocrisy for suggesting you can storm off after I've said how the goodwill seems gone - if you insult me then there's no good will left I'm afraid. I'm all about reasoned discussions but your insults are neither discussions or reasoned frankly.

I'd also note: I've made zero personal attacks to the best of my knowledge. I've not called your mental health into question. I've not insulted you. I have I will acknowledge insulted the President, his Vice President and his Secretary of State and ridiculed them. For reasons that I made clear at the time. For which you've suggested I'm a mental health patient. But to the best of my knowledge I haven't posted a single personal attack against you. A claim you can't make. Which is the third MAGA member I've had this happen with in the short time I've been back. But I'm sure that's just coincidence.
