Pluribus

Post by Nick Sumner »

I’ve watched the entire first season of Pluribus and find it intriguing. Created by the writer of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, it is a slow burn drama about most of humanity becoming infected with an alien virus that turns them into a hive mind but makes them completely happy. A few people are left uninfected and the narrative deals with their reaction to this.

In my opinion the show is very political. The main theme is the conflict between an individualistic approach to life and the world and a collectivist approach and we aren’t sure which idea the writer is going to fully back till episode 6 when...

Spoilers
Spoiler!
It is revealed that the collective eats itself.
Anyone else seen it?

I’ve watched it, I think it’s quite good. An intriguing plot and I’m invested in seeing where it goes in season two.
