Mutiny On The....Vanguard?

Post by MikeKozlowski »

...Ran across this on TwiX today and it definitely got my attention. Short summary - during the 1947 Royal Cruise, HMS Vanguard may have come within an ace of a flat-out mutiny due to conditions on board. Based on the documents that are included in the post, I think the report is accurate. Interested in hearing thoughts.

Saw that as well, interesting both in how the new cafeteria style messing and lacking amount of hygiene spaces seems to have been key issues, and also how the King intervened personally and granted extra leave days.
