SKIPPER RED...

Star Trek-based stories from Mike Kozlowski and others, set in Mike’s unique not-quite TOS, not-quite SFB but close enough to both ‘verse.

If they had shown Kirk growing into be the Captain in three movies under Pike, I think would have been a better series.
The Kelvin movie timeline is . . . not worth the time.

I liked quite a bit of Enterprise, though it had to retcon some things, like interstellar war without interstellar transport capability. Some classic Trek eps like “Balance of Terror” just don’t work given the relative stellar mechanics, so frankly I assume things are as bad 240 years in the future as they are niw, and people, even very analytical and intelligent people such as CDR Spock, make mistakes out of ignorance and legend.

Strange New Worlds is uneven but generally good, and has moments that will 💯% make you cry. Picard is equally inconsistent - which is itself almost a Star Trek tradition - but still has absolutely amazing moments.

But generally, Star Trek is good to great when it tries to be timeless and Shakespearian, and bad when it’s trying to be ripped from the headlines. It’s not Wrath of Khan, “Best of Both Worlds” or “Yesterday’s ENTERPRISE,” but generally worth watching.
