NOAA did wreck surveys USS Yorktown & HIJMS Akagi and release video.
Yorktown was found by Bob Ballard in 1998, Akagi & Kaga were found by RV Petrel in 2019 but they couldn't due a video survey.

...At my IPMS meeting last night, we had one member who had printed out pics of Akagi from the video and was pointing out what was what on a 1/700 model thereof. Amazing way to put the whole thing into perspective.
