So, I was warily preparing a tranche of pointing mix when my nape-hair prickled.

I was being watched by a predator...

I swept the garden wall's cat shelves with a glance, found they were empty.

Many years ago, one of our cats would not come in from his dusk patrol until you met his eyes. I had the knack of spotting him quickly.

I looked around again...

Yes, I know that, unlike the square shelves' brackets' Ls, their diagonal braces are rusting-- So much for claim of 'Stainless Steel' !!

But, the braces are 'tongue & slot', dismount readily.
I plan to wire-brush clean, dangle from knotted kitchen string, spray with Jenolite one-dose 'Direct to Rust'...
