Schrodinger's Parcel...

I ordered some 'M6 Slotted Cross-Dowel Nuts' to connect several whatsits to what-evers.
Courier e-mails said incoming, due, then delivered 1st Feb.
But, it was not.
Something else, different order, certainly was.
So, where was my chunky baggy of cross-dowel nuts ?
Not jammed in letter box.
Not tossed behind wheelie bin(s).
Not tossed *under* wheelie bin(s).
Not *in* 'Green' wheelie-bin, its collections suspended until March, or the lesser 'Recycle', rarely deployed...
Not under 'Traffic Cone' playing 'anti-trip' for lower bike lock-down point.
Not in front hedge.
Not in ''shared' hedge.
Not jammed between 'shared' shrub-planter and house walls, tucked under half-brick...
Hmm.
Then courier's system, the supplier's updates, pinballed between 'DELIVERED' and 'RETURNED to SENDER'.
Yes, it was, no, it wasn't.

Hmm...
Occam's Razor favoured latter as no delivery photo.
Even so...
A lonnng week later, Sender apologises for Courier error, confirms return...
My guess is the 'Schrodinger's Baggy' tore, wave-function collapsed, and courier thought to save me the kerfuffle and oft-acrimonious administration of 'proving' the damage.
Meanwhile, some-where, some-where in 'Uncertainty Land' remains my 500 mm length of black anodised 4040 T-groove Euro-profile, an assortment of M6 and M8 4040 adaptor plates / fixings, and the circular maxi-skirt --Now 'Sold Out'-- a neighbour wanted as surprise gift for her daughter...
