Amazon has comissioned a new Stargate tv show into development. It will not be a reboot, but a continuation in the existing Stargate universe. Martin Gero serves as showrunner, he was a writer on the previous shows. Brad Wright and Joseph Malozzi who were creators/producers/show runners on the previous shows are also involved. This leads me to have some hope that it could turn out pretty watchable and in the spirit of the predecssors.

the jafar were pretty bad shots unless they were "good" jafar.....but accountin how cumbersome those firing sticks they had were.... stormtroopers still are the worst ever by far. sterling SMG lasers should be far better than that.

Amazon has axed the new show. Apparently thought that it didn’t have enough broad appeal beyond the existing fanbase.

Prehaps Amazon got gunshy after blowing a billion on two seasons of rings of power. Honestly I bet if they refrained from major name actors (let's be honest, star power doesn't put butts in the seats like it used to) they could produce a decent series on a modest budget. I bet they revisit this in a few years.

It doesn't matter what stars they did or didn't have, Rings of Power was such a dog that it wouldn't have mattered.

I did earlier see a post on facebook with the 4 women from the Ghostbusters remake as SG-1 characters.....glad I cant find it again.......
