GOOD NEWS: Apparently, Apple has a system where if a phone is reported stolen, they send a signal which locks the screen, sounds an alarm, and posts a message on the screen that the phone has been reported stolen and its location has been sent to the police.

BAD NEWS: Apparently the bad guys have weaponized Waymo driverless taxis - they call up a Waymo to a given location, then set the Waymo on fire. EV fires are very, very, VERY bad.

GOOD NEWS: Waymos have 360 degree cameras that function constantly.

Which send video back to Waymo until the cams are destroyed, which will include video of the dumb SOBs setting the car on fire.
