AUTHOR NOTES
A) 18 and 61 Squadrons were originally equipped with Mirage F-1s. Both were disbanded after the Gulf War when postwar reconstruction plans prevented transition to the F/A-18. In TLW, it is assumed the squadrons were reestablished once Iraq began openly rearming and funding became available for additional Hornets.

B) 33 Squadron was originally equipped with HOT-armed Gazelles. IRL the squadron has just received 16 AH-64D Longbow Apaches beginning in mid 2006. In TLW, the AH-64 purchase began earlier, with delivery beginning in 2003.

C) 41 Squadron is expected IRL to transition to the C-130J beginning in 2009. TLW assumes the C-130J purchase was accelerated and aircraft delivered in 2002.

I'm very curious about the BMP and M-84 units: are the Kuwaiti managed to get spares straight from USSR and SFRY during the years between 1989 and 2005 or had they obtained by third-party suppliers?

Hmm, good question.

If I had to guess, I'd say M-84 spares were still accessible from Yugoslavia.
As for the BMP-2, IIRC, India license built them, so they might be a source for spares. Though the USSR was likely still good for spares through early 1998 when Renko took over, possibly later.

India also got T-72s, if I remember correctly. They probably could bootleg M-84 parts easily, since the M-84 is a T-72 variant.

Yea, India license built T-72s as well, so definitely a possibility.
I guess it just depends on how many differences there are between the M-84A and the Indian T-72s. After a quick glance, it looks like the M-84 had a different engine, and I imagine a fair bit of other domestic Yugoslav kit as well.
