Every time I see one these things I think of how easy it is for the mold and humidity to set in unless its connected to the grid and using lots of electricity to process the air.

IIRC, a relative who built on side of Scottish hill was fortunate that initial work was delayed by planning issues as a 'Winterburn' sprang from slope.
Expletives redacted, he made changes that included doubling land drainage provision, increasing number of diversionary 'strakes', cellar 'breathers' etc etc etc...
