Here's a VF-302 Tomcat aboard the Constellation preparing to launch during CVWR-30's war cruise in 1987. During that deployment, CVWR-30 launched several strikes against the Soviet Eastern Pacific Squadron.

The Tomcat was such an ungainly looking aircraft on the ground. Sort of like when an eagle or a falcon has made a kill, and is standing on the ground protecting it from scavengers.

However, so graceful while blowing the hell out of Russian aircraft.
