...I promised myself I would give this a chance, and I am happy to say it was worth it.
The new team - Thomas Holland, James Engelsman, and Francis Bourgeois - have a definite goofy charm, and it's clear they know what they're talking about. We do get some brief cameos from The Lads, and then they're off to it. Three SERIOUS American cars - a fire-breathing Mustang, a Corvette ZR, and a Hennessey modified Vette called the Venom - are here to show the resistance of ICE cars against encroaching EVs.
There's of course plenty of racing, some genuine laughs, and then the big finish - a simple race around an airport.
Suuuuuuure it is.
Overall, it was a very good first effort. It's going to take a while for them to get to the same level of ease with one another The Lads have, but that will come with time.
On Amazon, the full season is available.

The Grand Tour 2.0....
Re: The Grand Tour 2.0....
I’ve watched a few of the episodes today and I think that it gets gradually better as the season progresses. The only real note I would give so far is to give Francis some supoort with his voice over narrator voice, it’s a bit too meek and unspired at this point.
