Been a while, but Kath wanted the theme-tune for an old TV series.
Before Internet, so I trawled the music and 'remainder' stores...
Took about a month to find a 'compilation' album.
I can't remember which track Kath wanted, but she was delighted. Must be said, some of the others had us in giggles. Last on the CD was a croaky, hoarse, 'original' 'Popeye the Sailor Man' from the cartoons, not the Robin Williams' film.
But, before that, stuff of legend...
There's a holdup in the Bronx,
Brooklyn's broken out in fights.
There's a traffic jam in Harlem
That's backed up to Jackson Heights.
There's a scout troop short a child,
Khrushchev's due at Idlewild
Car 54, Where Are You?
