Oppenheimer is an outstanding picture. It has my highest possible recommendation. The theatre was utterly silent in the moments after the Trinity test, spellbound. The ending few scenes didn’t pack as much of a punch as Dunkirk’s, but were masterly in their own right; the discussion between Oppenheimer and Einstein was deep and existed on multiple levels, a bit of a take on the quantum theme.
The only thing that could make it better would have been a cameo by Bryan Cranston as Walter Heisenberg.

All jokes aside, the casting was seriously well done and deep, with even cameos played to the hilt.
Nolan has always put out *well made* pictures and this is absolutely one of his very best. I’m going to watch it again to fully take it in, the first time I’ve seen a picture more than once at the cinema in 18 years.
