Re: D Day weather forecasts

Interesting, particularly the bit about the Germans having a good idea what the weather was going to be like.

The article calls Krick dislike while the wiki on the film calls him charismatic....

Annoyingly, looks like we have to wait until September this side of the pond for the film.

Just curios, what was the usual incident rate for fires on board ship as it seems the USS Higgins, experienced an onboard fire while operating in the Indo-Pacific earlier this week, according to a Defense Department official cited by CBS News.

Proppant Squeeze???

From the telegraph It was a battle environmentalists thought they had won years ago. But fracking – the controversial technology for extracting oil and gas by cracking underground rocks – is about to stage a comeback. Not, however, under its old name. Re: Rocket powered 'torpedo' ca 1280

So wildly spin around a bit then blow up and cause confusion is a possibility.....though who you confuse is debatable :)

I hadn't thought about wildly flying through the air....that would really cause confusion.

No-one seems to be saying much about the $17 billion cost..... Designed to make a small number of people very rich? Or am I just a bit too cynical? Looks like the BBG is sucking the funding out of both of those programs AND carriers. Question, could a future Congress revoke funding for the BBG(X) a...

A friend’s dad, when a member of the Welsh Rocket Society, managed to blow up a Sea Slug launcher at Aberporth… Deliberately or by accident? :D By accident. It was a Rocket Society job; they’d tried to launch from a golf course, except the Heddlu (police) turned up and after asking, “Ello Ello Ello...
