Ok... Here's my take on the publicity shot.....
So the Klingon is holding hands with someone and has a smile on his face.
There is NO WAY he's not planning on pulling her arm off and beating the rest of them with it.

Re: I have lost my superpower (boohoo)
I used to volunteer to run the grill for my kid's Dojo's summer party. Then one year I had to work and was unable to participate. The next year, at least a dozen people came up to me and told me they were so happy I was back, because the meat the previous year had been almost inedible. Hotdogs, saus...

The Backfires aren't just a "Force in being." They fly strikes into Florida and the Southeast with standoff weapons like the AS-4 and AS-6, along with anti-shipping strikes. By the time of Brownsville, though? They've either been shot down, destroyed on the ground, or are grounded due to ...

In 1988? There were still SNAF Backfires in Cuba (stuck there after the liberation of Iceland), and also SNAF Su-24s. The threat was there. So the decision to scuttle would be an easy one. Just get her into some deep water so that any kind of salvage-even a theoretical one-would be out of the quest...

I find it interesting that there are still guns on the Midway, United States, Malta, Audacious and Ark Royal classes, presumably for AAW? Have aircraft not exceeded the abilities of the guns to be trained and reacted to, like what happened IOTL? Or was this how they were built, and the guns were rem...

Just in: CMSA announces that Shenzhou-21 spacecraft, carrying Shenzhou-20 astronauts, has departed the China Space Station at 03:14UTC. Landing planned around 08:30UTC. The agency also disclosed that micro cracks were found in Shenzhou-20's porthole, deeming it unsafe for re-entry. But Shenzhou-20 ...

Hmmm... A few questions so I can get the carriers fixed in my head properly. The 8 carriers that start with Midway are fairly similar to the Midway class IOTL? The 8 that start with United States are similar to our late 50's Forrestal class? The 16 that start with Enterprise are similar to our CVN E...

The local libraries in your area may be interested in displaying one or more of them, either on a temporary or permanent basis. If you've got a local historical society, and can establish a link, however tenuous, with a model (local kid served on ship X, or serviced plane Y or whatever) they might b...

Re: Bit of a silver treasure found
A quick look at Google shows coins like dimes and nickels weren't much different in weight than older coins. This isn't surprising considering their role as actual currency. More modern ounce coins, even the "trade unit" types, are more collectable and inflation hedge/savings than cash to...

Re: Bit of a silver treasure found
Its particularly striking to me how thin the coins are. Nothing like today's bullion coins, or even the silver coins minted before 1964. The technology for minting coins back then was fairly primitive, right? Basically a strong guy with a die and a hammer? And holy crap, talk about lucky!!!! Belushi...

Yeah, it gave us some valuable experience with his idiocnycracies, and we really needed it towards the end. In the last movement, some of the basses came in about a half measure early, but the rest of us were able to override them when we came in. The conductor was an interesting guy. The two guys w...
